APRIL
We hope everyone had a wonderful March! We had fun exploring different countries and learning what was special about each one. We welcomed Spring with creating flowers and rainbows and turning caterpillars into butterflies! We continue to receive Flat Stanley from friends and family. The children are so excited when he comes back from an adventure with pictures to share. His journal is becoming very full! If you plan on traveling during April vacation please let us know if you would like to take Flat Stanley along. Our class celebrated three of the children’s birthdays in March on the 28th with a birthday bash! The children had fun decorating giant birthday cards and decorating chocolate cake! This month we will focus on different animals and their habitats. We will explore different types of birds, have fun with ocean animals and conclude with animals of the desert. We will explore living and nonliving things in each of these habitats and create fun crafts. Through the year we will be doing art appreciation and focusing on several different artists and types of art. This month we will focus on Jackson Pollock and abstract expressionism.
