April Newsletter 3-4 Dear 3-4 Families, Spring is finally here, and we are looking forward to enjoying the weather and taking more of our activities to the great outdoors. As we continue to fulfill more student goals, we will be learning new games and playing sports we don’t often get to play, like Bocce and indoor hockey. In case April showers keep us inside, we will be starting a month-long unit about the National Parks. Our students will work in small groups or independently to do research on a National Park of their choice, and present their work towards the end of the month (hopefully coinciding with Earth Day!). After many variety show rehearsals and performances, Zoe’s art group was finally able to put on a fabulous shadow puppet play for our group, and they will continue to work on their clay unit this month before moving into other projects, including one that will combine science and art. Speaking of the variety shows, we were thrilled and proud to see so many of our 3-4 students work together to perform songs, original dances, and comedy acts. Finally, please consider joining in the RUN A MILE TOGETHER WITH US on June 12th, 2016 as part of the Village Fair. Check out the details at the www.brooklinemilerace.com Heath Extended Day is looking for families to run, volunteer and donate to this fantastic event. Please contact Noelle should you be interested in more information! Thanks!
