Happy New Year!!! We hope all of you had a great December and Happy Holidays! We can’t believe it’s already January 2015, these past four months have just flown by! In December, we enjoyed learning what happens when you try and mix a fat with oil. We worked on following directions and accomplishing procedural instructions. It was fun to see the variety of designs that resulted in following the same steps. Our class celebrated three of the children’s birthdays in December 16th with a birthday bash! The children had fun eating blue cupcakes! This month we will focus on a number of the children’s goals that they determined in September. January goals will focus on animals. We will learn about polar bears, tigers and ocean creatures. We will also tie dye t-shirts and make gingerbread houses and people. We will be holding “Wish Days” in honor of birthdays from the past 5 months. Your child has made a request for a specific activity to take place at HEDP for all to participate in, please check your email and the sign-out for reminders of these days to ensure your child will be included. The first one of January will be: Wednesday, January 7th; Electronics Day!
