In February we had a lot of changes with the weather and moving our classroom. I am so proud of how well the PreK and Kindergarten class transitioned through the changes, their flexibility and cooperation is beyond appreciated, as is the understanding and support from your family. They have really jumped into the new classroom and are making it their own by adding individual touches!
In March we will continue with our letter of the week projects and catering to our students interests. We are starting off March with letter L. We will be doing lacing activities and small group ladybug math. Letter M will focus on music, magnets, and monsters. We will have instruments for children to try, including drums and tambourines. We will do experiments with magnets, and design our own monsters. We will move forward to the letter N and be focusing on numbers. We will work with number recognition and in art we will make necklaces practicing out fine motor and counting skills. Letters O and P will be together in one week. Letter O will touch upon octopuses and opposites. While letter P focuses on painting with different mediums. The last week of March will be letters Q and R. For the beginning of the week we will be making a quilt that we can put on the wall to decorate our new classroom. Then the end of the week we will be making ramps and predicting and then testing our predictions of what rolls. We look forward to the warmer weather and continuing to make the new classroom our own! Thank you! Angelica, Mackenzie, and Christiane
