A look into May in Pre-K Extended Day Spring has sprung in Pre-K Extended Day, we did some planting and are excited to watch our flowers sprout! Through the month on May we will continue our letter of the week curriculum learning about T,U,V, W, and X. We will kick off May learning about the letter T and turtles. For the letter U we will become astronauts and going up up and away learning about outer space. V is for vehicles, we will be learning about different forms of transportation and creating roads and vehicles to zip around in. For the letter W we will learn about walrus’ and be creating walrus crafts. The last week of May we will be learning about the letter X with out theme “I am eXtraordinary”! Along with all these fun themes we will be creating spring crafts and enjoying the sunshine with some outdoor activities. The children continue stretching their bodies in yoga and learning Spanish with Nelly on Tuesday's. The children thoroughly enjoy this activity, they have learned many poses and songs, we encourage you to ask them to show you their moves! Important Dates: -Thursday, May 2nd is an Early Release Day. Please remember that on early release days there is NO PRE-K EXTENDED DAY AVAILABLE, unless your child attends the later extended day program from 2:20-5:45. In the case that your child is scheduled for PRE-K EXTENDED DAY on a day that an early release day falls on, and you would like to swap that day for another within that same week, please let us know. -Monday, May 27th is Memorial Day - No school -Monday, June 3rd - Save the date!
